What are third-party pixels — and why use them in found.ee?
A third-party pixel is a small snippet of tracking code provided by another platform (like Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.). It helps you gather data about user behavior — things like page views, clicks, conversions, or how people engage with your content. By adding a third-party pixel into your found.ee account, you unlock more powerful analytics, improve your ad targeting, and build remarketing audiences. In short: pixels let you see what works, optimize your campaigns, and reach the right people more effectively.

Key Steps

  1. Navigate to the managed pixels tab.

  2. Click on the "Add Pixel" button.

  3. Label or name the pixel.

  4. Select the appropriate category based on the pixel's goal (e.g. strictly necessary, performance analytics, advertising and conversion tracking).

    1. Strictly necessary - fires regardless of what the end user agrees to

    2. Performance - fires when end user ‘Agrees To Some’

    3. Advertising - fires when end user ‘Agrees To All’. Use this option if you're planning to run advertising campaigns and would like to create/use a remarketing audience

  5. Paste the full pixel code, including the pixel ID (e.g. Meta's full html code as opposed to just the pixel ID).

  6. Click on "Create" to save the pixel.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure the full HTML script of the pixel code is pasted without any formatting.

  • Test the pixel deployment using tools like Meta Pixel Helper or creating events on Meta or Google to verify data flow.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Search online for the full pixel code or reach out for assistance if needed.

  • Consider creating separate accounts for different artists to avoid pixels firing across all pages in one account.

  • Regularly check and test pixels to ensure proper functionality.
